NMIA

DDFS

design days flights schedule

project data:

Leadin Aviation provided specialized technical advisory services to IATA for the development of Design Day Flight Schedules (DDFS) and aircraft parking stand assessments for New Manila International Airport (NMIA), within the bid process led by San Miguel Corporation.

The assignment focused on defining unconstrained passenger and aircraft busy day scenarios, scaled up to a long-term demand level of 100 million passengers per year, supported by intermediate planning horizons.

Using NAIA’s 2024 schedule as a reference, future operational scenarios were developed incorporating airline behavior assumptions, traffic segmentation, transfer flows, and hourly operational patterns. In parallel, a dedicated analytical model was applied to assess parking stand demand, ensuring alignment with the airport master plan and apron layout.

The work delivered a robust, data-driven planning framework that strengthened capacity assessment, operational readiness, and strategic decision-making for the future development of NMIA.
