description:
Leadin Aviation was appointed to provide advisory services for the future development of Mykonos International Airport (JMK) by Fraport Greece, in response to growing demand trends identified up to the 2052 planning horizon. The project was conducted in accordance with international standards and recognized best practices, following an agreed scope and process that included a thorough assessment of the current airport situation, analysis of air traffic demand forecasts developed by an external company, capacity analysis, evaluation of airport development options, and the definition of phased airport development and land use concepts.

Through this structured process, a clear understanding of the challenges faced by the airport was established, enabling the formulation of a rational and well-considered infrastructure programme to accommodate future demand. The work resulted in the preparation of a Master Plan document for the development of Mykonos International Airport, defining a sustainable phased development strategy to guide the long-term growth of the airport.

By structuring future growth into a coordinated and phased master plan, Leadin Aviation supported a clear framework to guide long-term development, enabling effective coordination among stakeholders and facilitating the decision-making process for future infrastructure investments.
